How did Pocket Sport start out?
The inspiration to start Pocket came when Ed and Louise saw a gap in the market for an activewear brand to make clothes for working out and living in that didn’t cost the earth. They wanted to produce activewear that's top quality without the inflated price tag. Activewear that can handle running a 5k or running after the kids, so that is exactly what they did! We make the everyday essentials in a wide variety of mood enhancing colours that can be worn all day long and all year round.
What sets Pocket Sport apart from other women’s gym wear brands?
Our focus has always been promoting movement, not just the clothing made for working out. Our mission and vision is "To get more people moving in high quality activewear that goes with everything - other clothes and life plans" and this is central to everything we do.
We want to encourage our community to move as much as possible in their own way. Whether you love a morning run or a stroll around the park, we believe it’s important to keep moving in comfortable activewear so that we feel great both inside and out.
We have previously done this through rewarding our customers with discounts the more they exercise and it was very popular, especially during lockdown. Who doesn't want to be rewarded whilst feeling good at the same time? We have recently joined a new fitness app called Paace which does exactly that and we are so pleased to be a part of the Paace movement.
What features make Pocket Sport leggings stand out from the crowd?
Our trademark non-slip waistband grip! Pocket Sport leggings really are ‘the’ leggings that never slip down. All of our leggings feature our non-slip grip on the inside of the waistband. We all know the feeling of having to adjust your leggings mid run or workout but you can move with confidence knowing they will stay in place all day, every day.
Designed using buttery-soft breathable fabric they keep you cool and comfortable even on the warmest of days. All of our leggings feature an internal waistband pocket perfect for your bank card or keys. Our Claude collection features a large phone pocket on each leg - perfect for storing all of your essentials whilst on the move.
